NEW YORK, NY & LOS ANGELES, CA (April 14, 2022) – The National Football League and FaZe Clan, the lifestyle and media platform rooted in gaming and youth culture, today announced another installment in their marketing partnership that launched earlier this year during the Super Bowl LVI Weekend. The two cultural giants furthering the cultural convergence of traditional sports and gaming will team up again for a series of activations over the course of the 2022 NFL Draft Weekend in Las Vegas April 28-30. First up, FaZe Rug (the most-followed FaZe Clan content creator with over 40 million combined fans across social platforms) will be announcing a draft pick with current Los Angeles Chargers star running back Austin Ekeler for the Los Angeles Chargers live onstage at the NFL Draft. Fans can tune into the NFL Draft to see the pick announcement live on Friday, April 29th.
Also on April 29th, FaZe Clan and NFL will host a rematch of their co-branded NFL Flag football game between the FaZe Clan talent roster and creator collective A.M.P. The first matchup between the teams took place over Super Bowl LVI Weekend in February, with A.M.P. walking away victorious. For the upcoming rematch, former Super Bowl QB and current ESPN Sunday Countdown host Matt Hasselbeck will join FaZe Clan along with their newest announced member (and former University of Central Florida kicker) FaZe Deestroying, plus FaZe Nate Hill, FaZe Adapt, FaZe Kaysan, FaZe Temperrr, and Guinness World Record Holder, mega-athlete Jenna Bandy. Former NFL QB Michael Vick will retain his spot on the A-M-P- roster which will include A-M-P- creators Agent 00, Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis, Fanum and highest paid-professional female football player, Santia Deck. The rematch will take place on Friday April 29, at 2:30pm PST/5:30pm EST at the NFL Draft Experience and will be hosted by NFL Media’s Rachel Bonnetta and Andrew Hawkins with special guests as sideline reporters, and livestreamed on FaZe Clan’s Youtube and Twitch channels, and A-M-P-‘s Youtube channel (pre-show begins at 2pm PST/5pm PST).
Additionally, newly announced FaZe Deestroying, with support from the NFL, will be hosting one of his most popular competition-driven content series, “1 on 1” (watch series HERE) on Saturday April 30th at 12pm PST/3pm EST at the NFL Draft Experience. FaZe Deestroying’s now iconic “1 on 1” episodes feature incredibly talented wide receivers and defensive backs going head-to-head in a multi-stage competition with former NFL QB Michael Vick playing the QB position. The winner(s) of this Las Vegas edition will be awarded by the NFL with two tickets to a regular season game, a $250 NFL Shop gift card and a $10,000 cash prize (split evenly among 1 to 4 winners) directly from FaZe Deestroying. FaZe Deestroying’s “1 on 1” will be open to the public allowing NFL Draft and FaZe Clan fans to join the event in-person, with a recap video hitting FaZe Deestroying’s popular YouTube channel.
